SATEC Model
United Nations

Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,

It is an honor to welcome everyone to the 2026 SATEC Model United Nations Conference this year. We are proud to say that our conference is an excellent opportunity for delegates of all experiences and backgrounds to come together and discuss the most pressing issues of today, in history, and even in fiction. This conference will challenge delegates and provide a platform for them to develop skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and negotiation.

The Secretariat Team at SATEC has spent countless hours in and outside of school preparing for this conference to ensure that all delegates have a seamless experience. The team worked diligently to create thought-provoking background guides that will encourage delegates to think creatively and collaborate to come up with solutions to help solve any and all issues presented to their committee.

We kindly ask that all delegates come prepared for the conference by researching their assigned countries or characters, familiarizing themselves with the agenda topics, and understanding the appropriate rules of procedure. Additionally, we encourage all delegates to bring an open mind, be ready to listen to the views of others, and respect the diversity of opinions that may be presented during debate. It is our hope that this conference will provide an opportunity for delegates to interact and form meaningful relationships with other participants of all backgrounds, an interaction which will help break down barriers and promote peace, unity, and understanding.

So, delegates, prepare your papers, pens, and speeches as we write up a day full of collaboration and creativity at SATECMUN to create an unforgettable experience. We look forward to meeting everyone this October!

Sincerely,
Arrogya Pokharel and Ohona Islam
Co-Secretary Generals of SATECMUN
