COMMITTEE BACKGROUND
The Security Council sits at the centre of the United Nations response to threats against international peace. Its members must weigh urgency against sovereignty, build coalitions, and decide what the international community is prepared to enforce.
Delegates should arrive ready to interpret the UN Charter, negotiate precise language, and respond when the facts change faster than a draft resolution can be written.
