COMMITTEE BACKGROUND
The Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs supports conflict prevention, mediation, elections, and peacebuilding across the UN system. Its work begins before a situation reaches the Security Council chamber.
This committee asks delegates to turn political analysis into practical prevention: mapping stakeholders, identifying leverage, and designing credible paths away from violence.
