COMMITTEE BACKGROUND
The World Association of Nuclear Operations is an organization grounded in building future nuclear frameworks to maximize the transparency and safety of these systems. Delegates will gather for the first meeting of WANO on May 15, 1989, to discuss how the situation at Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant may play a part in developing international nuclear standardization, upgrading outdated reactor systems, or limiting the usage of atomic bombs.
